Sightings of Unusual Life in the Desert

Joshua Tree National ParkIf you get a chance, I recommend spending a few hours in this site, an other-worldly place and fascinating collection of boulders and unusual trees.

I’ve been traveling frequently as of late. Ontario, California; San Diego; Palm Springs; and now we’re heading up to Big Bear today. Some of it has been work and writing-related while the trip to Palm Springs was family and writing-related.

In between, I continue to reflect on the amazing contrasts in So Cal topography. In this article on Joshua Tree National Park, we also had a chance to visit with Dexter and Sarah Rivers who own Red Top Coffee. I wrote the copy for their website last year and it was nice to catch up with them. They live in Twenty-Nine Palms and are planning on opening a coffee cart kiosk in Las Vegas soon.

They’ll continue selling coffee online, too. Visit
